About George Rice, MD

Dr. George Rice is a family medicine physician specializing in functional and preventive medicine and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy. His approach to patient care is to seek out, identify and correct root-cause imbalances that affect health. He specializes in developing personalized treatment and lifestyle plans that correct imbalances in and across all body systems to optimize health. He received a B.S. in Psychology from Stanford University, and he obtained an M.S in Health Systems Management and an M.D. from Rush University.

Dr. Rice completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Southern California and is board-certified in Family Medicine. He is also certified in Age Management Medicine and certified by the Academy for Preventive and Innovative Medicine in Advanced Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy, studying under Neal Rouzier, M.D., a world-renowned expert in hormone replacement therapy and preventive medicine.

His specialty resides in Functional Medicine and Nutrition, studying with Chris Kresser M.S., L.Ac, a world-renowned leading expert in this field. Dr. Rice is a candidate for certification in Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine with an anticipated certification of December 2017.
